NEW STRATEGY
After a couple of months' break, I have found new motivation and decided to start again. Having played with one approach for a long time, I have been considering how to change my approach and try something new. My main focus has always been the performance of the team, with economic success as the second priority, but now I will try to play in a new way. My new strategy is to focus primarily on the financial side of the game; but obviously team performance and financial success follow each other. Now, my main strategy is:
"to increase the team's value with 250k every season by making sound investing decisions and competing in the top division with 20-22 riders in multiple categories."
Taking into account how players lose value and the tough competition in division 1, this is definitely not an easy goal, but I believe it's possible and hope it will be give good results in addition.
NEW RIDERS
I have bought 12 of my new 22 riders so far and have spend a little more than half of the money I had. I have started investing in a sprint team, which has always been my focus, with some captains for the hilly and flat races as well. For this part of the team, I only need a cobbler and a couple more lead outs before the last spots of the team will be filled by a kind of rider of I haven't had in many seasons: climbers. I'm very satisfied with my new riders so far:
Sprinter: Julius Maaskant from Jonas Pro Cycling
HL-sprinter: Philbert Seaman from Jonas Pro Cycling
FR-HL-AV captain: Tapuwa Mathema from Hells Grannies
...and many good lead outs, for example Yens Ingelborgs with three results already and team-legend Otto Beier, who is now able to retire in the team.
FIRST RESULTS
My first 40 days back in the game have delivered results way beyond my expecations. The riders have taken 15 wins (already making this season the one with the most victories ever) and 21 results in 13 races and two tours. As a result of this, the team is back in division 1 now where the competition is going to be really tough. I'm excited to be back and hope the new team can compete for the wins in this division as well.
Since day 29, the team has gained three new Palmarès trophies. Here are the main results:
- Winner of three stages and the Sprinting Classification in Norway Tour: Philbert Seaman
- Winner of four stages (out of five) and 1st and 3rd in the General Classification in Kangaroo Tour: Philbert Seaman and Julius Maaskant
- Winner of Helsinki GP Mini today: Julius Maaskant

Indeed, quite surprised to see you've actually been away for months :). Good luck!
I think your comeback was like as if you were never away.
Welcome back mr. Good luck with your new strategy.
Thanks. Taken my time. Only traded a little. Probably not looked at the financial side enough. You have had a great comeback. Many others have struggled.
